Meet Your Dentist in Hendersonville, NC Jessica Christy DDS, MS

Dr. Jessica Christy grew up as a competitive swimmer in Jackson, Michigan. She attended Michigan State University, where she received her degree in Zoology and rowed on the crew team. She was accepted to the University of Detroit-Mercy and obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) from there in 2007.

Upon graduation, she entered the Air Force and immediately began the competitive and challenging Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at Keesler AFB, MS. This residency provided her with advanced training in all specialties of dentistry including endodontics (root canals), surgery (including challenging wisdom teeth), and sedation (oral and IV), among others.

After her residency, she was stationed at Randolph AFB in San Antonio, Texas. While there she deployed as part of Operation Enduring Freedom to Bagram, Afghanistan where she provided care for our troops, the troops of allied nations, and detainees.

Following the completion of her active duty service in 2010, Dr. Christy returned to Mississippi with her husband while he finished his career in the Air Force. During that time she practiced as a civilian contract dentist in the Air Force and in a busy private practice as an associate dentist.

After her husband’s retirement, she began to look for her families forever home. After being introduced to western North Carolina, she knew this was the perfect place to raise their family. In 2020 she was lucky enough to purchase the office of Dr. Pete Richards. It has been a wonderful four years of serving the Hendersonville community.

Dr. Christy maintains a robust continuing education program and recently completed her specialty degree in Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine from the University of Southern California. This specialty focuses on the treatment of advanced cases of TMJ disorder and other non-tooth related pains of the head and neck. It’s a focus that will greatly benefit her patients and neighbors in the community.

Her time away from the office is spent with her energetic, amazing two children, and enjoying the wonderful activities living in the mountains provides.

Dr. Christy strives to provide compassionate, quality care to all of her patients. She wants to build life-long relationships with them and strives to make every appointment a great experience.
